I stand barefoot on the wet, slippery rock and look. I look small like a human, yet large like a giantess. My sensations have suddenly expanded. For the first time in a long time, I feel somewhat at home. I gain an overview and the unnecessary trivia of habitual worries begins to become transparent. My feet, cold on the outside and warm on the inside. I love the feeling of my bare feet on the globe, straighten up and exhale for a long time. I know again. I had only forgotten.

A glimpse into the artist's world

All artworks are created with great care and love by Claudia Pollack. They serve as the basis for all high-quality prints on paper, canvas, clothing, and more.

Each motif reflects the artist’s deep exploration of femininity, inner strength, sensuality, freedom, joy, the nature of reality, and the magical. Claudia Pollack sees herself both as a woman in the here and now and as a being unbound by space and time.

I usually paint my paintings with acrylics on canvas.

For my mixed-media works, I use all kinds of materials—from found natural materials to beads, sequins, fabrics, various papers, packaging scraps, yarns, and so on.

My drawings are usually created with colored pencils on paper.

If your artwork hasn't already been framed by me, I definitely recommend having it framed. A frame not only enhances the artwork but also protects it. Paintings on canvas can usually be easily framed in a shadow-line frame. To do this, simply purchase a shadow-line frame that matches the dimensions of the canvas. The shadow gap frame will be slightly larger, as it leaves a narrow gap—the shadow gap—between the painting and the frame. You can also use a different type of frame for canvases, but always without glass. However, the shadow-line frame has the advantage that not a single centimeter of the image is obscured by the frame. It also looks elegant and high-quality.

You can display drawings in a frame with glass. I recommend using a mat, as this prevents the drawing from touching the glass directly, which helps preserve it. The mat can even be a bit wider, which creates a nice effect. You can also choose a colored mat to play with the visual effect. The mat should either slightly overlap the paper of the drawing, or you can deliberately choose a larger mat size so that a gap is created between the paper and the mat.

It is also possible to use a picture frame for your drawing. I definitely recommend this type of frame for my mixed media works, as the materials used require space. A display frame is like a small box with a glass surface that allows you to frame three-dimensional artworks as well. Here, too, you may choose to add a mat, depending on your preference.

If you need help deciding how best to frame a piece, I’d be happy to assist you. Feel free to reach out!

Acrylic paintings are lightfast. The varnish provides additional protection for the pigments. Nevertheless, and just to be on the safe side, I wouldn’t place an acrylic painting in direct sunlight for extended periods.

I recommend hanging drawings and mixed-media works in a place that doesn’t receive constant direct sunlight. That way, you can enjoy them for decades to come.
